Bhutanese Australian Association of South Australia (BAASA) organised swimming lessons for Bhutanese community members who recently arrived in South Australia.

The swimming session was held in Marion Outdoor Swimming Centre in February-March. Volunteer trainers were made available by the Centre to train the participants.

In average, 10 community members participated the swimming lessons. Eight lessons were held in the swimming centre while two sessions were held at Brighton beach. It was intended to train community members on beach safety and surfing.
