Dear Community Members,
On behalf of Bhutanese Association in South Australia, I would like to invite the Community Members to participate in the Annual Day Celebration of Bhutanese in South Australia on 14th May 2010 at 5 pm in DOM POLSKI hall in 232, Angus Street in Adelaide.

Lieutenant Governor Hieu Van Lee will grace our program as chief guest, which will be attended by scores of other guests from governmental and service providing agencies and community organizations to share with us our story, culture, food and heritage.

A meeting was held on Saturday the 24th of April 2010 in Adelaide to review and bolster the preparation process. The Annual Day Celebration Committee briefed the meeting about the ongoing preparation for the program and funding situation. Many youth and children have been devotedly practicing cultural dances and songs to be presented in the program. So far, the Celebration Committee has mobilized a small amount and other small grant applied by the then Adhoc Committee, through ARA, is available to us. As the part of the available fund is required to be allocated for Dasai celebration, it is felt necessary to request the participating members in the Annual Day celebration program to contribute $ 5/- per individual and children under 18 yrs will not require to pay any amount. However, the wishes of any parents or guardians to pay for their under-aged children participating in the program will be highly welcomed and appreciated.
