The SGP workers and BAASA executive committee members on 11 June held extensive discussion with the community volunteers. The discussion was held at 1225 Youth Centre in Salisbury.

The volunteers discussed challenges and opportunities of volunteering for Bhutanese community members. It was finalised that a concrete policy, procedure and guidelines are required to build community volunteers.

Further, the volunteers and executive committee members reviewed the strategic direction formulated last year. It was realised that many activities mentioned in the plans were achieved, some underway while few others are yet to be initiated. Few projects initiated outside the plan were also discussed.

BAASA has formulated a strategic direction last year during a three-day extensive discussion held in Norton Summit.
